Privacy Policy
LinguaTomo keeps your learning on your device.
LinguaTomo is an offline-first Japanese learning app. Your study progress, reviews and preferences stay on your device, there are no accounts, no ads and no data collection.
The short version
LinguaTomo is designed to work without accounts and without the cloud. We don't collect, sell or share any personal data. What you study and how far you've come lives on your device and nowhere else.
In one sentence: your Japanese learning stays yours, we never see it.
What happens on your device
Study progress, review schedules and preferences are stored only on your device, in the app's own local storage on Android and iOS, and in your browser's local storage in the web version. The app is offline-first: it works without an internet connection, and nothing you study is transmitted to us.
What we collect
- No personal data. No name, email, or account is ever requested or stored.
- No study data. Your words, progress and stats are never sent anywhere.
- No analytics. There are no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
- No ads. LinguaTomo shows no third-party advertising.
Third-party services
If you install LinguaTomo through Google Play or the App Store, those stores handle the download and your store account under their own privacy policies. The web version loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may log your IP address under Google's privacy policy.
Children
LinguaTomo is designed for a general audience and doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because nothing is collected, there is no special processing for children's data.
Your data, your control
Since your data lives on your device, you already have full control: clear the app's data, clear your browser storage, or uninstall, and everything is gone. You never need to contact us to delete anything.
Changes to this policy
If LinguaTomo ever gains online features or collects data, this page will be updated first, with a new effective date, before the app changes. Last updated on August 1, 2026.
